At first people refuse to believe that a strange new thing can be done. Then they begin to hope it can be done. Then they see it can be done. Then it is done and all the world wonders why it was not done centuries ago.
- Frances Hodgson Burnett
Case Studies
In the links below, you'll find case studies of museums around the country that are helping shape a new paradigm — a paradigm that puts children and their futures first. The institutions included all recognize the enormous power museums have in shaping public understanding, and are using their exhibits, buildings and operation practices to model new ways of thinking about building and design.
The two sections, Exhibits and Green Buildings highlight green projects that have a sustainability agenda firmly anchoring the project's mission. Some of the projects highlighted as already built, while others are in various stages of development.
We hope you're inspired!
